Imprimerie Ste-Julie expands its range of services

Imprimerie Ste-Julie recently invested nearly $ 2 million to acquire a brand new flexographic press. This press will add printing of flexible packaging to the wide range of services already offered by the company, in addition to increasing its production capacity of labels and shrink sleeves. Flexible packaging consists in printing on thin materials and allows to design bags and sealed packaging for food products, cosmetics, industrial products, etc. For example, Imprimerie Ste-Julie will now be able to offer cosmetic sample packs, sausage wrappers, candy wrappers, small packs of screws that can be found at the hardware store, and much more. « Imprimerie Ste-Julie has had, for more than 40 years, the desire to offer its customers complete solutions in terms of label printing and shrink sleeve production. We have always been focused on quality, innovation and excellent customer service. Our customers often wanted us to be able to obtain this type of packaging, and this press will also offer us the possibility of printing both labels and flexible packaging. Therefore, it was only natural for us to make this decision. Moreover, it satisfies our desire for innovation », explains Caroline Fournier, vice president of sales and administration. This new flexo press allows the production of prints with a maximum width of 20 inches. It also offers eight color stations in perfect register. It is therefore possible to print 8 colors at a time or to carry out various enhancement processes such as stamping and the addition of varnish. This is the latest technology in flexographic printing. With its high speed of execution, Imprimerie Ste-Julie will come in first for several projects. Imprimerie Ste-Julie is a leader in the printing of labels and shrink sleeves in Quebec. The company has been operating mainly in the food, industrial, wine, beer, cosmetics and pharmaceutical markets for 41 years.
