Flexo Press

Flexography is a rotary printing process that transfers ink deposited on the texture of polymer plates, without chemistry, directly onto the printing material. The process uses water-based and U.V.-based liquid inks and high-performance rotary dies. Flexography is very present in the field of packaging and is used for the printing on media as varied as polyethylene film, paper and corrugated board.

Flexographic printing is relatively comparable to the ink-pad principle, but to an industrial scale. It mainly differs in its ability to offer multi-color printing with large plates. For flexography, the polymer plates are flexible and their thickness varies according to the printed medium.

The enhancement press is the one we use to give and little added value to your labels. Most of the time, we use this press to enhance your labels that have been printed digitally or by flexography. This press can be used for embossing, hot stamping, screen printing, and it contains a flexo printing pool, which is most often used to add varnish or specific PMS. The labels can be die-cut at the end of their press run.

The Galaxie is the piece of equipment that we use to produce labels for clients who need their product to stand out at a glance. It is the perfect emotion maker!

Le valeur ajoutée sur les impressions par flexographie ou numériques se fait sur une presse d'ennoblissement permettant d'ajouter de l'embossage, de la dorure, différents types de vernis ou de PMS et d'effectuer la découpe.

Digital Press

Digital printing is a direct production, without plates, from digital data generated, processed and printed by electronic means. There are several types of digital printing technologies. Digital printing is suited for clients who are looking for flexibility, efficiency and speed.

At Imprimerie Ste-Julie, we print with vegetable oil-based inks on HP presses. This way, we respect our commitment to use equipment geared towards the future of the environment. The quality obtained with HP presses is more than exceptional.
