This Quebec microbrewery wanted to market a special brew in 750ml and 6L bottles. The labels for both bottle formats had to be identical.
Some of the bottles were also going to be used as gifts for the employees for the company’s anniversary. Each employee was going to receive a bottle from this special brew bearing a personalised label. Printing with individual personalisation for each container is possible with digital printing.
After printing the labels by digital printing, we brought the rolls on our enhancement press. At this stage, the entire surface of the labels was embossed in order to texturize the paper that the client had chosen. A layer of 3D varnish was applied on the labels to allow certain elements of the design to stand out. Finally, two thin metallic gold lines were added by hot stamping.
This kind of challenge combining variable data in digital printing and different enhancement processes is the kind that Imprimerie Ste-Julie likes to meet for its clients.
