Specialized in the printing of self-adhesive labels mainly for the food and pharmaceutical markets and committed to providing customized solutions to its customers, Imprimerie Ste-Julie is growing and preparing its succession for future retirements…In short: we need a new finishing clerk to join our existing team.

- 40 hours, Monday to Friday
- 8am to 4:30pm

YOUR ROLE
The finishing clerk ensures that our product meets the compliance standards required by our customers and prepares the final rolls for packaging in boxes. His/Her eagle eyes verify that the product meets the colors, the shapes, that everything is correctly worded in the right places, and follows the customer’s instructions to prepare the rolls that will be delivered, and ultimately used in the customer’s machinery to affix on their products. The latter can be in the field of alcohol, local products, or other food products. Many of our products can be found at the SAQ and in supermarkets.
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR AND TEAM
You will work under the supervision of Daniella, our finishing manager. Daniella has been with us for 20 years. She knows the finishing, packaging and shipping processes inside and out. She is a family person and is very focused on a good atmosphere in her department, and flexibility with her team…she is a “give and take” type of person. She values a job well done and meeting deadlines and relies heavily on teamwork to achieve this. If you constantly need your cell phone in your hands or are not the type to offer yourself to help your compratriots, move on, you will not be happy in this team!
The team is made up of a dozen meticulous women, whose profiles vary from 2 years to 40 years of seniority in the company, with a wealth of experience to share! There is a good collaborative atmosphere, as laughter is regularly present, while prioritizing quality and production deadlines.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verify that the labels match the order (ink, colors match the sample);
- Perform the necessary operations for the presentation and packaging of the finished product according to the customer’s specifications;
- Rewind or fold the finished product according to the appropriate equipment and procedures;
- Ensure compliance with Imprimerie Ste-Julie’s quality standards;
- Respect the production schedule to meet the required delivery dates;
- Collaborate with the work team as needed to ensure that priority orders are completed on time;
- Carry out the tasks related to the NSF sanitation standard that are attached to your position;
REQUIRED SKILLS
- E.S. or other relevant degree or combination of experience
- Previous experience as a pressman or press assistant will be considered an important asset
- Written and oral French: Intermediate
TO SUCCEED IN THIS POSITION, YOU NEED TO
- D.E.S.
- Mastering French language (oral)
- Be physically fit to sit or stand for long periods of time;
- Ability to lift loads of 25kg from the ground to the waist;
- Good observation and attention to detail
