Specializing in the printing of labels for the food, pharmaceutical and industrial markets and committed to providing customized solutions to our customers, Imprimerie Ste-Julie offers a state of the art environment and is growing…so we need new flexographic pressmen, day and evening shifts, to support our existing team.
LOCATION: Ste-Julie
JOB: Permanent
START DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY: To be discussed
SCHEDULE: Flexibility possible
40 hours per week
Evening, starts at 2pm.
Working under the responsibility of the flexography supervisor, the pressman receives orders from customers and ensures that the right raw materials are taken for production, from the choice of paper to the inks and varnishes to be used and sets all the parameters required for the production of the labels. He/she regularly checks the quality of the prints and the quantities of inks (etc.) and makes the required programming changes as needed, all in order to meet the quality and quantity standards established on the production specifications that have been accepted and to maintain maximum profitability for the company.
In the interest of versatility and team spirit, he/she may be called upon to perform cleaning tasks on the press or to wash ink fountains, and to collaborate with other teams or departments in order to raise or resolve problems that could impact quality, quantity, delivery times or other issues, all with the goal of maintaining the satisfaction of the end customer.
You will report directly to our Flexography Supervisor, Martin. Martin is an energetic type who likes to deliver results and doesn’t mind pitching in to help his team, but appreciates those who show initiative and resourcefulness and are opened to learning. In short: he is a wealth of experience and is open to showing it, he needs people with drive and who are opened to learning!
The entire flexography team consists of about 6 people, 3 of whom work directly at HP Presses, for which we are looking to expand the team. Jacques has been with us for over 30 years, he is a wealth of experience with a generally cheerful personality and a focus on product quality! Vanessa was promoted to this position this year, after having demonstrated great skills in her previous position. And Dave joined our team this year, after having acquired a great deal of previous experience in graphic design and presses. In short: a team with diverse skills, and that’s what makes it strong!
